If you’re a lover of bars, cute puppies and sunny beaches (and who isn’t?) this engagement session is for you.
Although Jessica + Lance will be tying the knot in Palm Springs, they opted for something a little closer to home for their engagement session. Jessica + Lance met at Legends Sports Bar in Long Beach, California, where Lance was a bartender. They had the idea to start their e-sesh at Legends since the bar has so much meaning to them (and starting a session with a few drinks never hurts either!) From the start of the session to the end, these two were completely effortless in front of the camera. Their adoration for one another is evident in each image. Every kiss, hug and laugh is completely real and translates so naturally through the lens.
Lance even sported his old bartending uniform for some of the shots! I can’t even with their cuteness.
Once we finished at Legends, we headed to the beach for some photos with their adorable pooch, Duke. Jessica’s mother was on Duke duty, and met us at the beach with their furbaby in time for sunset. Since Duke was more interested in playing than posing, we focused on fun candid shots—AKA, do whatever Duke is doing. For anyone who is interested in scheduling a photo session with your pet, I always suggest planning only part of the session with your furbaby as animals have a much shorter attention span than we do, especially in a new environment.
Once Duke had enough beach frolicking, Jessica + Lance finished the evening playing in the gorgeous golden light. It was absolutely freezing by this time, so running around in the sand, snuggling, and enjoying big bear hugs was not only adorbs, but necessary for keeping Jessica warm.
