While I love super green, lush locations, I’m a sucker for gold tones and of course, golden hour! Now that summer is here, and fall is finally around the corner, I can’t wait for my favorite photo location to look like this again. One of my favorite things about Southern California is the tall, golden grass in the summertime and early fall because it photographs so well… I mean, could this be any more dreamy?

 What is a first look? A first look is seeing your soon-to-be spouse before you officially tie the knot at your ceremony. I am the biggest fan of first looks on your wedding day. You may be asking what a “first look” is, why you should do it, and if it’s right for your wedding. I had the honor of working with Jennifer Ward; beauty influencer and star of the Kim Kardashian produced Glam Masters.  Her fiancé is Aundre, who fell for Jennifer back in 2009 when Top 8s were still a thing (those were my glory days). Aundre was scrolling through a friend's MySpace friends list when he saw Jennifer’s profile and instantly fell for her.  One MySpace message from Aundre later, a love connection was born.

Maternity sessions are a very special thing to me — I love capturing the happiness, affection and love shown by the wonderful mamas I have the pleasure of photographing. This particular maternity session was extra special to me since this beautiful mama is my best friend.
